What's the Big Deal?

I don't quite understand it, but New Yorkers love their Deli's. Long aisles of food sitting on warming trays waiting for you to serve yourself.

You would think that because these are the hot-spots they would offer the most bang for your buck. Wrong! These self-serve purveyors of semi-warm semi-good food are ridiculously expensive. Today, thinking I would run get a fast, nutritious, inexpensive lunch, I patronized one of our local deli's. My lunch consisted of a scoop of cottage cheese, four slices of pineapple, an apple, a piece of garlic bread and a diet coke. This light fare cost me $9.00! I can buy better food for a better price at the airport or Disneyland!

Never again!
